Flora Europaea perennial, H mesic, calciphile, upper boreal to subalpine, petrophile-saxicole Carpathian-Balkan-west Euxinic Seslerion albicantis, Seslerietalia, high altitude (boreal) Agrostio-Festucetum rubrae, Pinion mugi R36, R63, R3102-3105, 3107-3110 usually calciphile habitats       A very beautiful and not rare upper boreal to subalpine thistle.
